Tallinn - favorite photos taken in unexpected places

Last week I spent a few days visiting my friends in Estonia.  It was short but fantastic trip!  I have been visiting Estonia for the past 12 years and it is amazing how Tallinn changes each time I visit.  There are museums, cafe's, restaurants and tons of inspiration everywhere you look.  Below are a few of favorite photos, taken in some very unexpected places...

Patarei Prison - yeap, you read it correctly.  The below 2 photos were taken at a building which, originally built as a sea fortress, served as a prison for 85 years.

Not at the prison, this shop we passed while walking around old town. A very clever entrance.
 Tallinn.

The Teletorn TV tower in Tallinn has been remodeled and it is retro cool!

A few unexpected inspirational photos from miscellaneous locations.

If you have never been to Estonia, I recommend putting it on your list of places to visit.  Tallinn is beautiful and busy and just a short drive away is peace and tranquility in the forest or by the sea.  Definitely one of my favorite places.

screen prints

Below are the screen prints I had made at Printa!  I am so happy with the way they turned out!  I will be selling these in my Etsy store in the fall...so stay tuned...

This is called "Morning Bloom".  I designed two colorways that are bright and fun and two that are more classic.  It is A2 (about 17" x 23").
Which color is your favorite?

The design below is the same design that is licensed to Parna for pillows.  I just can't get enough folk design in my life.  The size of these are A3 (about 11.5" x 17")

Hungarian design books

I had a birthday over a week ago...a big one...I wasn't too excited to leave my 30's, but 40 is treating me OK so far.  I was treated to dinners and lunches by so many friends.  It was actually pretty great to see so many people in a week.  Still feeling the love:)

My friend Fiona bought be a birthday gift that I still am gushing over!  It is 2 BIG books filled with a ton of smaller books.  Each small book is focused on the drawings for the folk clothing of the different regions of Hungary.  Truly amazing, right?  I need to buy some binders and large plastic sheets to protect all the drawings.  I can see them getting dirty and torn from over-use:)

all the "pages" in the inside of the small books are A3 drawings

"The Books"

Contents of 1 book.

Each separate book has a nice pattern on the outside with the name of the region.
